RENOVATION CHURCH IS STARTING NEW LOCATIONS!
Check out this video and the FAQs below to learn more.
NEW LOCATION FAQs
New locations will most likely be in rented facilities somewhere between 10-20 minutes away from the Blaine location. The Shoreview location will open in March 2026, with another one anticipated to open in a city north of Blaine in the fall of 2026.
The Shoreview location will open in March 2026. The anticipated opening of the third location is fall of 2026.
Yes! Each new location will have the same culture and ministry programs that make Renovation Church great. They will teach through the Bible (verse-by-verse), share the gospel weekly, disciple new believers 1-on-1, and have House Churches. Renovation Church’s core beliefs, values, and culture will be maintained at all Renovation Church locations!
Each new location will have its own Location Pastor who will lead, shepherd, and teach. Generally speaking, all locations will teach through the same texts at the same time. However, they will have some autonomy in how to best reach their local community (worship style, outreach events, how they run their youth ministry, etc.).
A church planting team is typically about 80-100 people. When we send people to autonomous church plants, a planting pastor generally doesn’t want more than 30-40 people from any single church. Any more than that and those people just tend to want another “Renovation Church” rather than a new church with a new vision. This can present significant challenges to the church plant’s community, especially for those on the team who are not a part of that majority group. However, if we start another Renovation Church, this creates an opportunity for hundreds of people from the Blaine location to join the new location, which is a win for both locations.
While running four services already in Blaine, there simply is not time to send him to another location as well. This would become particularly challenging, too, as additional locations are added.
Renovation Church is an in-person church. We value in-person leadership and pastoral connection above broadcasting Pastor David’s preaching on a Sunday morning. We also want to prioritize contextual leadership for each location and fight against the consumeristic mentality that video venue sites often produce.
It’s not that this couldn’t happen someday, but we’ve already invested millions of dollars into this building, and we JUST built it! We also believe that God can do even more through us if we focus our efforts on reaching more of the Metro, and not just Blaine.
We are one united church, no matter how many locations we have. All locations will be under the same board, constitution, and financial structure, and the Location Pastor of that site will report to Pastor David. However, to the attenders of that church it will FEEL much like a new church plant for that city!
